Nothing Fancy, Just Good Food.

Needing a desperate break from all the stress the pre-final examination week has given us, Mariel, Frances & I decided it's about time we officially start our foodtrip thingy.

Caught by its unique name, Uncle Sam, we figured out this might be an old-school-American-themed restaurant, & craving for something different, we decided to try it.

The place was a little hard to locate because it was located at the "business street" of the city, in between banks & appliances store, which is an unlikely place for a nice restaurant like this. The crew were very welcoming, though, and the inside was indeed American-themed. The walls were painted white & red while the ceiling was painted blue with scattered white stars on it. If you haven't figured it out yet, yes, it is the American flag. :)

we love the frames of the all-time favorite american movies on the wall
That was just the first floor. It was cool for them to separate the bar section from those who just want to eat and have an intimate relationship with their food. HAHA. Their bar section is on the second floor where aspiring singers can also hangout at their mini karaoke bar.

NOW TO THE FOOD!
"'Nothing fancy, just good food.' sige nga, tignan nga nating kung totoo toh (let's see if this is true.)"

The three of us decided to pick out 3 different dishes from the menu. Mariel ordered Gabriel's Ultimate Burger because she was intrigued of its description "Find out why."

Oh, by the way, Mariel is a very good cook. Frances wanted to see how good of a cook Mariel is so she ordered Bacon & Ham in White Sauce-- Uncle Sam's version of carbonara to compete with Mariel's carbonara. :D

Being the I-can't-live-without-rice girl, I picked out Guilbert's Grilled Pork Chop with Demi Glace!

My Guilbert's Grilled Pork chop was HEAVEN. :D it was grilled perfectly & I certainly couldn't have asked for any better! That grilled marinated pork chop drenched in brown sauce topped with caramelized apple & onion is LOVE! If I were to rate it from 1-5, 5 being the highest, I'd rate it 10!! ♥

Apparently, the servings were plenty, enough to fill an empty, craving stomach! Oh, and, yeah, Mariel had Mixed Green w/ Cranberry Vinaigrette Salad, too!

One of the many things we love here is that they prepare your food when you order. So you're sure they serve you a fresh, healthy food. :)
And for people who's in a deep relationship with their social network accounts, you don't have to worry about being away from them 'cause this place has WiFi. Cool, eh? :)
They also serve all-day breakfast from 11am-5pm.

So if you're looking for something healthy but affordable dishes, Uncle Sam is the place for you. :)

Uncle Sam also accepts reservation for any occasions.
